Tina Butcher's noise experiments include butcheR & smeaR and her new solo noise project If Rebecca Horn Played Guitar. Both pieces use house hold objects such as a lap top, vibrator, chop sticks, and tooth brush then filter and distort sounds, beats and samples from daily happenings with effects processors, pedals, and a sampler. butcheR & smeaR and If Rebecca Horn Played Guitar are both explorations of daily tensions, anxieties, fears, and neurosis. butcheR & smeaR has a new split 7" with Violetta Beauregarde coming out on Jerk Off Records Summer 2005 and Violetta Beauregarde and If Rebecca Horn Played Guitar will be touring the West Coast this Summer to promote the record release.
